Six Things to love about Medellin, Cebu

Image
I was so lucky to have the chance to celebrate Christmas with the family of my special someone to the farthest north this year. They were nothing short but warm and welcoming and I could never be thankful enough. We attended their clan’s grand reunion at a Kawit Beach Resort, a four to five hour drive from the Mandaue City. Anyway let me enumerate to you the things I love about the place:

Exploration on The Most Awesome Sims 3 Homes

Image
Everyone loves a charming home. And with Sims 3 as a stunning workable platform to creating your dreams a reality, it pays to explore the huge town a little bit to scavenge through awesome premade residential lots.

These lots are pre-built on the Sims 3’s exquisite Sunset Valley neighborhood and in terms of interior design and architecture they are so good and liveable, in fact, you couldn’t ignore them.

Basically, the neighborhood is mixture of Romanesque cum colonial houses, timbered low-rise homes and spacious modern ones. From personable houses on mountain tops to beachfront minimalist contemporary uptown cribs, enjoy the these cozy eye candies and see if you can spot them on the game.

Sunset Valley: An Idyllic Sims 3 Township

I, for one, have a penchant for illustrious homes and structures.

Sunset Valley is the only neighborhood shipped with The Sims 3 base game. It is colossal compared to the neighborhoods in previous The Sims games, having a total of 97 lots with various playable eccentric characters.

It mixes contemporary and even futuristic buildings and ideas with nostalgic vintage architecture and design rooted in American suburbs of the 1950s.

The description of this neighborhood reveals that The Sims 3 is indeed a prequel to The Sims and The Sims 2… …although The Sims 3 is the successor to both games.

Sunset Valley was apparently built before Pleasantview, and founded by the Goth Family.

True Blood Justice: Exploration on the Martial Law in Maguindanao

December 12, 2009

Last night, we had just witnessed an Indignation Rally in Fuente Osmena while waiting for the San Carlos University Christmas Show. We gripped on our seats as groups of Mass Communication and Journalism students clad in black suddenly barged in the stage and asked if they could have a little of our time to say a few words and pray.

We were then paying respect to the victims of the morbidly unfortunate Maguindanao Massacre that shook the world of how innocent children and servicemen pay the ultimate price of greed and lust for power.
Anyway it should have gone well for me up until Cebuano Journalist Rico Lucena expressed that he was not in favor of the Martial Law in Maguindanao.

But there they were, all screaming to the top of their lungs and shouting for justice reverberating from this historic park to the rest of the country, declaring that democracy should not be shot with a bullet and that nothing would scare them in their field and tha…
